MCS

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme is the UK’s renewable energy industry quality accreditation. The accreditation demands the highest standards of design, installation and performance and is applicable to both installers, and equipment. All domestic installations of ground and air source heat pumps require this accreditation for homeowners to claim the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) government grant. Builders and developers installing ground and air source heat pumps, require this accreditation to be able to provide new home warranties from NHBC and most other providers.

RECC

The Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) was set up with the aim to guarantee a high quality experience for consumers wishing to buy or lease small-scale energy generation systems for their homes. Membership of a consumer code is a requirement for MCS compliance.

NICEIC

NICEIC assess Abode Heat on a regular basis to ensure that we are competent and capable of meeting the relevant technical and safety standards, codes of practice and rules of the Competent Persons and MCS Schemes. We are authorised to self-certify our installations to the Local Building Control Body. This saves you both time and money when undertaking work that requires notification under the Building Regulations.
