Let your Solar PV system save money on your heating and hot water bills
Written by Ben Hodges, Renewable Heating Consultant
Having already invested in a solar PV system to reduce your electricity bills, what else can you do to save on your energy bill?
For properties without access to mains gas, investing in a heat pump may be the answer. A heat pump uses a small amount of electricity to produce larger amounts of heat and hot water (HW).
For properties with main gas, then our innovative heat battery solution may be the answer. Self consumption of PV energy can be raised from 30% to over 70%. In addition these systems take up much less space than a traditional HW system, are maintenance free and are typically 50% cheaper per kWh than Tesla type power batteries.
Our unique system will show you how much free electricity you are generating that could be used to save money on your heating bills. See this example electrical profile below.
